I disagree. You can call anything you make art, from bad 5 second drawings to quickly made pictures. Heck you could even write a fake name on a toilet and call it art.
Doesn't mean others have to think it's art.

Photoshop doesn't just copy images out there on the internet, it lets you create unique ones from scratch or from a reference image with heavy modifications.
Cameras literally just capture what already exists and nothing more or less.
Photoshop is a tool for creativity and making things.
Cameras are tools for capturing and archiving things.
I have to agree with Chris on this one, though photographers may be artists by practicing the art of photography, it does not make the images they capture into their art.
If I took a picture of a painting that someone else painted and called it my art, I could get sued, so why should paupav get to claim an entire mountain?
It's one thing to say "here are some photo filters I created" or "here's a photomanip", but he didn't specify anything like that.

Well kinda. I do respect good photography as art, as it actually does take skill and patience... could relate it to fishing.
But a picture like paupav's has no effort put into it. It just looks like he noticed how pretty it looked outside and decided to take a picture with his phone. No effort = no art in my opinion.
