Not yet :p
I've tried to do a few collaborative projects with people from CEF and some other communities but they all seem to halt production at some point and are eventually forgotten about. My skill level isn't anything near good enough to compete with big company concept artists.
I've just been very slowly taking requests and doing the ones I'm comfortable with, while also doing some stuff for super-cheap art classes.

I wouldn't bother attempting to work with anyone from here (in the Random Spam section since that's where you guys all talk about projects lol..) as most seem to just be drug addicts and children. You are more than likely never going to see an actual project come from here in that regard.
Branch out and post your work on various gaming sites. I'm certain someone would be interested in your work for even a lower-end game to start. But hey, gotta start somewhere right?

I think that's a matter of opinion.  Don't leave yourself to be the judge of your own work. While what you think does matter, but if its what you want to do as a career its the opinions of others that is going to decide where you go next. Your work is definitely not just average, you do have talent with it. Don't be too hard on yourself. |
Bit of a boost of confidence, thanks bro. I have posted my work in several communities actually. One of them attempted to make an MMO based on the anime Fairy Tale and asked for my help. I of course accepted the offer, but soon realized it was a rather dumb project and dropped out of it. Nothing came of it in the end so I don't regret that decision.
I think one day I'll try my hand in some sort of video game fan-art competition. I see them a lot when a game is being developed. For now though I'll just keep practicing and taking requests, maybe attempt to get involved in a few other small projects. I'm rather content with life as it is right now (unfortunate, though it may be). I'm not really worried about moving forward at any increased rate. Just gonna keep taking things slow and steady.

you have the drawing and conceptualization talent.
Are you not interested in sculpting, I can see you getting really big and known if you manage to learn Zbrush and get your monsters in HD 3D sculptures.

I've messed with Zbrush a couple times. I do enjoy the end products and whatnot but the process just isn't as enjoyable as drawing, to me.
EDIT: So apparently that Winged Twilight was unknowingly done for the Skywind project. Turns out I've been in contact with one of the team members for quite some time and he never mentioned it. Told him I'll do some more, but this time I won't leave it unfinished.
