I am trying to change the value of money in "Radiant Defense" game ..a tower defense genre // oh and this is windows 8 if it helps but it worked with other games tho //
..
I found the value and changed it then go i go back to the game and it is still the same even if i use the money to update the address but no use .. it won't change in the game .. and i'm 100% sure it is the right address ..

Perhaps you only found the visual representation or temporary address used for display
See if it's not stored using another value type, or try changed/unchanged and see if you can find out how it is stored

i did the change\unchanged and nothing..
i did change the value and nothing too..

Would you please help me with this .. what do you mean by temporary address or visual representation ,, i mean what should i do to find the real one or be able to change the current one ??

yes indeed but in the pointer box when it asks for the off set i dunno what to put i had +48 but how to put it ?

If changing the value has no effect then a pointer won't work either. This means the real value is stored at another location

sorry to revive an old thread, but this is about the only search result i can find on the topic. i understand how to cheat once i can find an equivalent to gameIch for windows 8. what software are you all using to modify the game's in-memory values winndows 8? any help is much appreciated!

Sorry for the inexperienced question before. However, since i found this post through the googles, i figured i would update this forum for anyone else who find this forum.

[note, for radiant defense, please read all the way to the end as there is a twist you will need to be aware of before attempting to use cheatEngine with radiant defense]

CheatEngine is a program that allows you to change in-memory values used by a running program. Let's ignore the fact that because this is possible, it is extremely scary from a security pov and just go with it. To use cheatEngine, you select the running process to scan. Then you enter a value for which you want to search that process' memory. CheatEngine will return the memory addresses that hold the searched value. Then you can right click on the results listed on the left (usually just one value is found), and select the option to change the value held at that memory address (the second option in the context menu on my install). Then you just enter the new value and press ok.

THE TWIST:
in an effort to curb cheating with cheatEngine the radiant defense developers decided to mess with the memory bits. Because this is a game running an execution loop, the developers needed to pick a fast operation. It appears they just took the integer bits and xor'ed them. Some one has written a cool tool called RadiantDefenseConversionTool that allows you to perform the same operation. To use cheatEngine with radiant defense, simply use the RaidantDefense conversion tool to convert your integer values (both when searching for values and when setting them) before using them with cheatEngine.

I found a way to make hard cash on the game ...
You just need to scan the lvl of any weapon. Type 4 bytes.

...
Build a turret and scan for value 0...
upgrade it and scan 1....... and go till u get the lvl of the weapon.

Put the adress you found on the adress list and sell de turret.

Build a new turret and the value of the adress will return to 0...
So just change the value to 4 (max lvl)...
And u will see the new turret will be fully upgraded and u can sell it for a higher price.

Then just buy a cannon for 80 and sell for 415... Really fast way to get money... ^^

U can just repeat it with the same adress for any weapon again and again and again.

easiest way to hack this games money is to use the radiant conversion tool made by aktai then open the conversion tool first put the amount of money you have in the top box then grab the number in the "search this amount" box and put it in cheat engine and it should only find 1 value. double click it then go back to RCT (radiant conversion tool) and put the amount of money you want in the top box and press enter to get the scrambled number in the "search this amount" box grab that number and double click the only value found in cheat engine and paste the new scrambled number in and tadah! best way to cheat radiant defense =D

Game is learn to fly 3 and found a value and im sure its my money its a double. but when i change it it just goes back Pls help :O
