Almost definitely, yes. Price to performance is great. I have a 970BE OCd to 4.1ghz, and I have absolutely no problems. Handles games like a champ. | As far as benchmarks go since nothing uses more than 4 cores, FX8150 and the i7 3960x get beat by their quad counterparts. As far as gaming goes anything with 4 physical cores and 3.0ghz+ seems to do the job.
Problem with the i3 is its a dual core with hyperthreading and the hyperthreading causes problems a lot for many games. |

such as what games | BF3 for instance. Hyperthreading causes a lot of problems in gaming. Thats why the 2500k doesn't have it I believe. |
