I'm picking between 2 Lenovo/IBM laptops.

What happened was that my dad gave me a 2nd laptop and told me to give 1 to him.

The one I've been using is a
Lenovo T61 - 32bit
3GB ram
intel core 2 duo 2.0 Ghz

or should I get the new one which is a
T60 - 64bit
3GB RAM (I installed 4GB but the chipset limit is 3GB)
intel core 2 duo 1.67Ghz

The T60 is a fresh laptop, all the buttons work fine, brand new screen, my older laptop has some buttons that are messed up and the screen lock is messed up too. Which one should I take? I'm looking more into performance. Thanks!

Old one. more performance from it, you can replace laptop keys for cheap and a screen lock isn't much of an issue.

depends what you're doing. for example, if you need 64 bit (like i do), then 32 bit is not an option. it is impossible for any of us to justify a decision till you state what your requirements are

There is no noticeable performance difference between the two. (Except some games demands 2.0 Ghz for installation)
But still I will stick with the older one if you afford to repair keys. In my personal opinion 64bit is useless until you have much ram installed.
