It's mediocre at times, but overall it's pretty good. Especially the first three seasons. I like the randomness of it all, where they go 'This is like the time we went...'. Lots of people, however, do not like this at all.

Yes, because you're young it would seem that way. They actually used ideas from old American sitcoms, and I believe in the episode of 'Simpsons did it!' from South Park, they mention them copying an episode off of the Twilight Zone, which is undoubtedly also before your time.

I almost agreed with you until now; you contradicted yourself. Both shows (simpsons and family guy) rip off shit. I do not like fmaily guy, and haven't watched simpsons for years.
