I don't know much about hardware and I was just wondering if what you're paying for is worth its components in an Alienware computer. |

| No. Alienware sells their computers for easily twice as much much money as the components would cost individually. Instead, you should buy the parts off http://www.newegg.com/ and build a computer that is just as good (or exactly the same, if you so desire) for much less. |

you're paying for style in an alienware pc, not performance. buy a case that has glowing lights and shit and you've got an alienware for half the price. _________________

| You're also paying for a labor-inclusive warranty, but it's still not worth the extra $1000. |

Part-per-part does not include labor was my point. |

Why would you even ask if Alienware is worth it? Their laptops are nice, however, since it's really hard to make a laptop from parts. _________________

Part-per-part does not include labor was my point. | Yea it does. It says labor on the warrant info on a lot of new egg parts. |

Their laptops are terrible. All you are paying for is the 'snazzy' case. You can get the same system(s) for half the price going with a simple case.
Either way, no they are not worth the cost. _________________

| Alienware is the Windows equivalent of Apple computers. You pay for the look, not the performance. |

Part-per-part does not include labor was my point. | You are your own labor when building a pc. You get sent a new piece and you put it on. Whats the problem there? |
