|
|
I used CE since years and last day after i click on the open cheat table button, CE instantly crashes without any kind of error message (not even a message from windows itself)
CE Version:
6.1
System:
Windows 7 64bit
Another bug i've also noticed, as i could opened cheat tables, sometimes after browsing a directory CE crashed (same kind, without any error message). Thought it would have something to do with Thumbnails, however. |

Try the 32-bit executable, perhaps you installed a shell extension that isn't really compatible with the 64-bit explorer.
Also, what antivirus and firewall do you use? _________________

GData Antivirus
Windows 7 Firewall
Well okay that might fix the other problem, but how to fix the problem with opening cheat tables? Maybe the old "path" is stored somewhere and doesn'T exists? Could that be?
ps:
DEP is OFF
UAC is OFF

The open file dialog also depends on the explorer shell, so if it fixes the directory thing, it should also fix the open file dialog
If not, then it's something else (like an anti virus killing ce because it tries to access the disk) _________________

Works now, no clue what caused the problem. However thanks for your help.
Any idea when CE will get support for AMD processors ? I mean the kernel debugger mode. |

kernelmode debugger will work in 32-bit windows for amd
for 64-bit it may take a while
I first need to get myself an AMD system, with serial port and start from scratch and redesign some stuff (Right now I use intel specific things for the interface part, which will need to be split into a secondary layer so it can choose between amd and intel)
Also, the VEH debugger interface should be a decent alternative most of the time (get your hands on the 6.2 beta, it fixes the handling of int3 bp's) _________________
