My itouch just completely turned off one day and it isn't working anymore? None of the buttons seems to work and i plugged it into my computer but it won't charge and isn't recognized.
Can someone let me know what is wrong and any solutions for it?

Try holding the power and home button at the same time for a minute, the screen might flash. If not, I suggest you ask for help at: http://modmyi.com/

Have you ever rooted or done any of the likes to it? Also, check the battery to see if it works with any other similar phones

If you ARE jailbroken, have you installed anything from Cydia? And no, don't mess with the battery, this things aren't that great, a scratch on the top broke mine. (The battery wouldn't fit in any other phones, I don't believe.)

So i tried holding the home and reset button, but still nothing happens. I tried to connect my sisters itouch onto my computer and it is recognized, so does that mean there is an internal problem with my itouch?

Sounds like a problem with iFailTunes. Just reinstall iTunes completely and you should be fine.

Might be a problem with where you plug in the cord.
You tried different combinations of charging cords/computers to see if it works?

No, that's not it, iTunes doesn't manage the actual connection between the computer and the iPod Touch. Check if your USB port is damaged, or if you mean it worked with your sisters cord, it might be a problem with your charging cord.

so i used the same chord for my itouch with my sister's, but only her was recognized. WE tried different ports and it's still the same, mine could not be recognized. Anyone know the problem?
