Question on Speed Hack

Hey guys, I haven't been on these forums in a long long long time, and same with hacking, but to refresh my memory .

My question is that i found an address to a decreasing value ( a Time Value) that you can see it decreasing and wondering how to apply a speed hack towards that specific address without altering any other value to speed hack. I tried googling it but comes up with nothing on my particular matter . If someone can help guide me in the right direction that would be nice!

Create a code cave on the function that increments the timer and adjust how much it increments by inside your cave.
