1. No voice acted character (voice act your own character if you care so much)
2. Play as a grey warden in the first blight 400 years before the events of Dragon Age origins 1.
3. Obviously, make the game less of a "mass effect 2 medieval mode" and more of a "dragon age origins with improved graphics, more places, larger cities, more open ended exploration, and more awesome"
4. Drop Dragon Age 2. Let's be real, the game wasn't a real sequel. Remove all DA2 content from the Dragon Age wiki, and basically pretend it never happened. Dragon Age Origins 2 will be the "official" sequel to Dragon Age Origins 1.
I should totally be in charge of Bioware.

I'd give this man a promotion from being a janitor to box boy.

I agree with everything except for 1.

The character usually said something very different then the text you clicked on, and the npc's reaction to what you said wasn't based the text or what you said. All it was based on was the little icon that defined what emotion it represented. It was always the "heroic" choice, the "jokester" choice, and the "asshole" choice, Whereas in Origins the impact that your words had were actually based upon your words.
