A month? Try less than a week.
You recognize that them trying to do a build on the prerelease versions would have been 110% worthless as they'd have to redo the entire process for the 1.0 release, right?

1337 was in october
the 1.9 and 1.0 prereleases don't work and are useless

And I'm reminding you that 1.0 was released less than a week ago, and that it takes a lot longer than that to update the entire server program.
