No it isn't. WoW exploration is boring and static. Minecraft has randomly generated (and incredibly large) maps, fit for exploration. And in WoW there's no means of survival.

My problem with minecraft is that, ones im set, I don't wanna leave because I get lost or get killed then respawn somewhere. If you die, do you spawn back at your bed?

yeah the tower thing is good and so is a lot of torches, they really stand out. compass helps if you built near spawn and maps im sure help but i never make them
