Found a snake in front of my house...

As I opened the door this morning, I saw my cat attacking a snake.
Does anybody know what snake is this?

The thing that worries me most is its mother, it could be right outside my house right now, or maybe hiding somewhere near my house...

Snakes don't get raised by their mothers so I wouldn't worry about that.
