Why would you want to convert it to this weird format anyways? I mean, why not a format like mp3?

i dont think you can... you can convert XM to MP3, but not the other way around... and why would you want to convert it to XM anyways? I mean, MP3 is easier to incorporate into a trainer... how are you making your trainer?

hmm that sucks... try making a trainer using a programming language. there, you can use any type of sound format...

ToBasically, when I trace the 'this', the order of the files that are loaded is off. Out of about 10 tries, about 3 times the order is perfect. The remaining 7 times, the order is a bit off. Does anybody have a suggestion on how to ensure the files are loaded prior to the next file being loaded?
I tried placing a while loop that basically delays the clock for a few milliseconds, and that didn't work either. Besides, that is not really a good solution to arbitrarily waste clock cycles. I am guessing some sort of a listener might be needed, but that is where I've hit a wall The problem is that when I seek around with in the flv file, at random the flv can stall out for a few minutes. Basically it freezes up and hangs the browser for a little while.

start from Visual Basic 6. Very simple and noob-friendly.

I completely disagree. Start with C# or vb.net they are supported more than vb6.
VB6 is actually a dead and long forgotten language, why bother to learn if you can get the latest version for free?

This is exactly what you don't want to do. VB6 is outdated, unsupported, and just overall old. It had its run, its dead. Its been dead for a while now as well. There are plenty of programming language someone can learn that are all updated and supported.

MP3 to XM? Please tell me how converting an audio file to a module is anywhere near possible. You cannot, because it is not possible, period.

sorry, my advice about learning VB6 is bad. Start off with VB.Net instead. Like others have stated above.

if you record the sound of each instrument in the music, then somehow manage to create a skeleton for these sounds to play, then maybe. this, of course, is close to impossible

Since no converter to date can do this, I said it's impossible.
