Because I don't live in America, I was hoping someone might be able to inform me on some of the types of broadband in the States.
Simply, we're looking to host game servers and so need a high bandwidth for upload speed.
Any suggestions? _________________

You wont be wanting an ISP then, you'll want to look into server hosts instead.
I will encourage you strongly though; DO NOT go with gameservers.com they are terrible. They constantly get DDoS'd and you will not be reimbursed for their downtime even if its not your servers fault. Their support is horrible and takes forever to respond as well.
What type of game servers are you looking into finding hosting for though? Specific games will help you get better responses since some hosts specialize in certain games over others. _________________

We are locally hosting our own hardware, we just need an internet connection.
I repeat, I am not looking for hosting. I am looking for an internet connection.
The higher the upload, the better. _________________

| Well, you got Verizon, Comcast, Cox, Roadrunner, it completely and almost solely depends on where you live. But if you want consistent results, you probably wanna go with Verizon. |

| If you're looking for colocation and have a (relatively) high budget, I recommend Hurricane Electric. They have connections of up to 10Gbps. |

you will probably pay more for an internet connection than you will by just renting a server to be honest. if you need access to the box you can try a virtual server.
also it's very possibly against whatever ISP's TOS to host shit, many do this. |

We're looking to become a hosting company. Money isn't an issue.
We're expecting to setup with multiple dedicated servers, not just one VPS.
HTTPd sort of gave me what I need. _________________

This is not something you do at a house. You need to get dedicated server racks and an actual connection. Cable / Fiber for a house line is not going to cut it. _________________

That is what I'm asking about. Cable/Fiber line rental.
We have dedicated server racks.
The last thing we need, is an internet connection.
The rack setup being in a residential area is the only problem I have. _________________

become a reseller for a server provider
nobody is going to pay for a server run out of your house. you are going to have to pay for rack space at a datacenter and then on top of that, bandwidth.
monthly costs are probably going to be over $100 easily. |
