Geforce 570 or Radeon 6970 are basically your two options in that price range. Neither are quite 400, so you could throw in a big memory upgrade in there also.

6970 is your best bet. It outperforms the 570 in every bench but a couple. They are both around the same price ($340-380). Overclock the card and your CPU and you'll be fine for quite some time. That H50 should do your 920 fine for a few hundred mhz overclock.

If you could get another $80 to your budget, 2 6970s in crossfire, otherwise get a 6970 and save for a second.

What case do you have? Better make sure there is a nice air flow and enough room. 6970 cards are close to a foot in length. Crossfire set ups will run quite a bit hotter than a single card so a fresh supply of air is vital as is an exhaust.

EDIT: I just checked my 5850 and it barley fits in my case, I don't think 6970's will fit in my case

Is there a fan in the front at the bottom? Even if there is, I'd suggest running the graphics cards' fans higher than automatic speeds. I have mine running at 45% and the sound isn't too bad. Anything above 50% and it becomes unbearable.

No way the 6970 will fit in my case | I was afraid of that. From what I've read about the case it can fit up to 10.5" cards so the 68xx series will be fine I think some GTX 570s are 10.5" exactly so look into those.

I would. Graphics cards aren't getting any smaller nowadays. So grab a single 6970/570 and a new case.
