"As with all our budget builds, this one will run any game thrown at it for the next few years at a minimum"
Peripherals not included, it assumes you already have those.

Any thoughts?

I thought they didn't make use of the latest hardware so more people can play, like people with older computers and such.

Might as well get the GTX 460 instead of HD 5830.

HD 5830 sucks.

Problem is that no-one buys newer computers because the current games run fine

I thought it was because console is cheaper? Either way, I wouldn't buy a shit pc for gaming just because. Its easier to build something and continue it when you have more money. Just get essentials.

Occasionally people, like myself, build a high end PC by todays standards. Normally because it'll run anything with ease and multitasking heavy is possible. Additionally, it's sets us up for the future, where games may actually stretch a system. That being said, by the time games do come around to that point, an i7 Rig will probably be a whole lot cheaper to build.

By the time a first gen i7 becomes dated, they won't be sold anywhere. Also, high end processors never drop in price. The C2Q 9550 is still 350 bucks, AS IF the processor was still intel's flagship. That, obviously, is not the case.

have you ever compared the graphics on a PS3 or 360 to a PC on max settings? it makes all the difference in the world.

but then again PS3 was released 5 years ago, theres just no comparison between the latest video card to a 5 year old video card
