You gotta hold the reset for literally 30 seconds. Its called a hard reset and this makes it return 100% to factory besides firmware version.

THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH. I think I was holding it for only 15 seconds or so. And I don't think the paper clip had enough surface area to trigger the reset. Stuck a pencil in that motherfucker and bam. Thanks for all the help.
