How would I go about finding the time on an item?

Say i have an item that once used, i have to wait about ~60 seconds before i can use it again.

How would I go about finding how long the time takes and freeze the time so i never have to wait.

I have tried unknown start value, then use item, then keep hitting unknown value. but i havent been able to find the value..

Try all (byte to double).

And perhaps instead of it counting down until you can use it again, it might be counting up till it reaches xx then you can use it again.

you could do this...
1. if you can use it search 1,byte
2.after done scaning make it so u cant use and search for 0
3.repeat intill u find the right one
4.freeze the address to 1

Download Cheat Engine 6 and try to use the % scan option.
