I'm new to all of this, Do I need anything like cables etc?

For HDD, 90% of them users probably don't even know what's a "BigFoot".
Some background info that particular HDD brand.

The original Deskstar was designed by IBM. Because of their massive failures and class action lawsuit, they sold their HDD sector to Hitachi.
The current Deskstar is from Hitachi and not IBM. IMO, I think it's stupid for Hitachi to bring back a name that was plague with problem and bad memories from those who were affected.

Don't know, has Hitachi lay off their people in the "come up with a new names" dept?
Just pick something else and whether that other brand will fail or not, it's all based on pure luck.
