Cheat Engine

Hi im new to hax and want to try a wallhack.

My question is what happens if its detected and im banned? Is it permenent? is it for all my steam games?

How does it work?

Also what should i be weary of when downloading hax to avoid viruses etc?

It is for all your source games and it is perm. It can take anywhere from 1 week to a year in some cases to receive the ban. You can still play on non-vac servers.

It WILL be detected, you WILL be banned, and you will deserve it. Cheating at online shooters is a lame thing to do. And yes, wallhacks are one of the best ways to get viruses.

If you must, make another account and buy CS:S again, so your banning will be limited to that. Or don't, because I would rather you get banned.

VAC bans are engine-wide bans.

- HL1 Engine: CS 1.6, CS:CZ, Team Fortress Classic, DoD Classic, etc.
- HL2 Engine: CS:S, DoD:Source, TF2, etc.
- Left 4 Dead(2) is its own engine.
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare etc. is its own engine.

VAC bans are permanent as well, once you are banned from that engine, its there for good on that account.

If you are looking for VAC specific information, I'd suggest reading GameDeceptions forums as they have a lot of information regarding Valve engine games.

As for what to be weary about, simply put, don't trust anything.

If you haven't created the software yourself, or you don't have access to the source, don't trust it.

It's not worth it, getting banned because some guy claimed it was undetected..

VAC bans are also delayed and hidden. You don't know when something is detected and the bans are done behind the scenes, they are done in waves. It's not a public kick like it is on Punkbuster or something.

If you don't have the money to fund private cheats (and potentially new copies), it might not be the smartest risk to take.

and I'm against online cheating, but that's me...
