|
|
My collection of music is a mess. Many of the file names include things like the track number, underscores, random symbols, who the song was uploaded by, etc.
I need a program where I can just load all of these songs in it and have the songs properly named, with the proper artist, proper genre, you get the idea.
Does anyone have a recommendation on which program I should use to do this?
And if possible, could you also give me a link to the site, or where it's being hosted?
Thanks.

Yes, that's why I was looking for a program to do it all for me. I was hoping that I could just load a bunch of songs and have those properly tagged.
Hero, what do you mean by iTunes?

MP3Tag
I haven't used it, but I'm told it works great.

Thanks SF. I'll try that out and post results in a bit.
Edit: Okay mp3tag isn't bad, but it only renames the .mp3 file by taking the information from how it is already labeled.
For example:
File name: 01-crazyfrog.mp3
Artist: axel f(2009 TOP 50 SONGS OF THE YEAR)
>mp3tag does its work
Result:
File name: Axel f(2009 top 50 songs of the year) - Crazyfrog.mp3
Thanks but, I was hoping for a program that could retrieve the song name and artist from the internet by using the information it already has to find a match in some sort of database. Although this one does have an integrated song look up by going through Amazon, we need to put it in by copying and pasting the data ourselves, one song at a time.
