Whenever I play games like Call of Duty, Team Fortress 2, Assassin's Creed 2 etc. After 20 minutes of playing them or so my computer unexpectedly shuts off quickly, no BSOD's or whatsoever.

I'd say overheat. Open up the side panel when it shuts down, tell us if it feels like an oven. Also check for dust.

If it shuts down and you can immediately turn it back on, then it's not over heating.

My friends PC was defected and turned off like yours did, but his had a gage where it told if it were overheating of not, and it was broke.

Possibly the PSU and overheating. This happened to me when i overclocked my cpu, and everytime i play 3d games the pc shutsdown. Sometimes, your graphics card overheats so you need to remove your PC's side cover to let it have some cool air and leave the door open or your windows. Thats what i did to my PC.
