title says it all. I've tried tutorials but evrytime i get an error saying hall.dll is missing. Does anyone know a tut that they've done on a netbook?

The problem lies with your XP installer. I suggest you get a new copy of XP then reinstall it. Cool

What model netbook?

The problem is not the installer. The dll refered to is hal.dll if I remember right it's the hardware abstraction layer dll. Most likely Windows is not liking you trying to install it to SATA drive, you could try making a slipstream iso of Windows first that includes the driver for the SATA drive. Should cure your issue.

Try winsetupfromusb? I've used it on my netbook for both xp and w7. Works good.
