I was looking through all my music, when I noticed a lot of my albums were missing, but when I checked my iPod, all the music is there, and it's on iTunes. If the music is really gone, iTunes will remove the music from my iPod, which it hasn't, so is there a way I can see if the music is really there or not?

Check the iTunes media folder. Anyway, if you turn auto-sync off and manually transfer your missing music from the ipod to your pc you should be ok.

It can't be in the iTunes media folder because I don't download from iTunes. Also I just synced 2 minutes ago, and the missing songs are still on my iPod.

Just check the folder, sometimes iTunes automatically backup media in that directory.

Or you can check the song info on iTunes to see where your songs are being accessed from.

If I right click on the album from iTunes and chose show in Windows Explorer, nothing happens...

Right-click on a song and click "Get Info". It should show the location of the song(s) there.

In C:\ maybe? Or whatever root drive you're using?

You can always search your computer for particular files using the search function in Windows.
