So, I was resizing one of my partitions (taking off the end of it, and making it unpartitioned space), and my power went out! Fucking PNG power...

Anyway, I am now left with an "unformatted" sector (E:/).

Is there any way to recover my valuable data from this lost sector?

You can try running a chkdsk with fix error switch on the affect drive.
Done that plenty of time and 98% of the time, it's successful.

Code:
chkdsk E: /f

Returns the result:
Code:
The type of the file system is RAW.
CHKDSK is not available for RAW drivers.

Did I forget to mention that I have extremely slow internet, with a 1GB/month download limit?

Knoppix LiveCD is less than 700 megs, fits on a normal CD. Still would take awhile to dl.

I go over my 1GB limit every month, and end up paying 55t per a megabyte (approx 20 US cents). It's expensive as fuck, but cheapest in PNG.

It would not be possible.

And I don't have a spare 1 terabyte harddrive to put the recovered data on. They run for about K1000 ($400US) at the only computer store in Port Moresby.
