Yes you do, go to properties of any file or folder, go to the view tab, and check show hidden files and folders.

How big is the file anyway? Why not just put it onto a flashdrive?
Unless it's way too big for one. I wouldn't know.

I was thinking of buying a cheap external harddrive, WoW is 20gb.

Along my expectations.
But you might as well just hide the normal if your Mom isn't smart enough. How about you just re-name it and place it somewhere, where she will most likely not go looking for it there? If you don't manage to hide it that is.
