ram here in my country are really really expensive.. 2gb would cost me around 150$, converted already... and for 4gb? like 400$... it's crazy over here..
by the way, thanks for replying.. do you think that 2GB is enough though?

Wow.. really? You can get 4gb for like $20 here lol.. that's pretty crazy for prices.
Crysis' minimum system requirements are:
Proc: Intel Pentium 4 (2.8GHZ for XP ; 3.0GHZ for Vista)
Mem: 1 GB RAM for XP ; 2 GB RAM for Vista
Hdd: 12GB of free space
Video: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Graphics card with 256 MB VRAM
Pretty basic for requirements to at least play the game. You could build a system with those specs for $200-400 here in USA. Not sure about your country though if RAM alone is that much.
Perhaps buy the parts in USA and have them shipped to you if that's cheaper? |
Where do you live? Last time I checked the cheapest 4 gb's of ram was $80 on newegg.

USA, and Newegg isn't the only place that sells RAM. Just look around, there are a lot of other places you can get it for cheaper. And in most cases, local stores will carry it for cheaper as well.
For instance another site to look at: http://www.pricewatch.com

So currency is different, does't mean it's expensive.
While I was in Asia a fancy Italian dish cost $150 but converted back to US
that's only $5 bucks.
400Yen is actually 4 bucks
$80 bucks is around Y6,000

On more intensive levels, Crysis can pull 2GB on its own, so I would recommend at least 3GB if you don't want slowdowns on those parts due to data being moved back and forth between the RAM and hard drive pagefile.
