Just stating the obvious; the frogs front "hands" are floating, and some rocks are really edgy. |

WHY ARE YOU REPOSTING THIS?
I think we've all said that you need to change the textures. I don't care if you "haven't got to it" yet, get to it. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, just giving kunstruktiv kritisizm. _________________

I post it here as a WIP Thread.
I'll be updating it here. the thread at RS was just a catch attention thread.
right now I'm working on the modeling and the scene.
Project:
the ants are just reference meshes, I'm making them detailed.
the rocks are reference meshes too, you can see the polygons on them, I'll smooth them for the render version.
going to add a river and more rocks on the ground.
and some detail like some grass strains or branches here and there.
then I'll start working on the materials, and as for the lighting I think it is going to stay simple like that, just a skylight. |

Looks pretty cool. you may want to make the frogs feet curl around the rocks/add webbing. |

get zbrush and make the frog a lumpy skinned toad , you can also "color" the model in zbrush so you can make the spotted texture real nice. _________________

Appreciate the simplicity of the ants but I feel you should let them deviate a slight bit rather than a mathematically perfect line. |

Is that a paper texture I see for the ground?
Also the frog looks too plastic and uniform.
The bumps have the right scale, but they're not random enough.
The pose isn't quite right, it doesn't look natural.
And the feet should wrap around the rocks a little.
Shadows look kinda LQ, but I assume that's because of the sandy texture?
Rocks look a tiny bit too smooth (again, a little randomness wouldn't go amiss).
Still, pretty nice so far. |
