This is what I've been getting all too lately. I've had it about 3 times just today.

I'm guessing that it's related to my battery being shit, but it's been like that for a few months. I only now had the money to order a new one.

Besides my battery, do you guys have any suggestions on how to stop this?

The programs I usually have open are:
FireFox 4 Beta 1, Notepad++, FileZilla, xchat, Trillian Astra, Norton Security Suite, uTorrent, Steam, and Wakoopa.

This is my current space on all drives.

0x0000008E KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
This is a very common bug check. To interpret it, you must identify which exception was generated. May also be reported as 0x1000008E.

Possible causes:

* Hard disk damage or failure
* Configuration problems with the BIOS, memory, hard disk, or other devices
* Incompatible device driver
* Incompatible software

Most likely a bad driver you recently installed or dying hardware.

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED sounds like an angry driver but win32k.sys makes me suspicious.

my first bet would be on memory.
