The engineer is from texas, so A huge stereotypical Texan hat made sense.

post a wireframe, it looks like you could probably optimize it a bit.
is the band around it a strip of polygons or part of a texture?

Not sure how I find how many triangles. It has 786 vertices, which is below the limit of 800. No textures, just multiple materials. And thje band is a ring of polygons.
And as requested, wireframe shot.

I agree, even though we all know the Engineer is from Texas, it seems out of place.
Maybe replace it with the engineer insignia.

Post a triangulated wireframe, and I'm pretty sure those shaders aren't going to work in a game, you need to texture it.

Dropper the last one. texturing didn't work right and i noticed some bad mesh problems.
But i have made a fully modeled and textured one since the original post.
I'll upload a picture and the texture I used.
