Double the power consumption of the 5870m, would probably run as warm as the 465/470 as well. I'll pass on this one.

Semi-heated argument with good numbers produced.

The trend went from ultraportable machines to a gaming rig you can haul around in a backpack. Personally I'd call it a day when you can build a miniATX build with respectable performance. Doesn't have to be the best, but given the lower average price in desktop components you can easily match up any gaming laptop at a lower cost.
