Alright. Here it is in simple.

I'm playing a game, and have been practicing hacking and whatnot.

I was looking for things kind of like examples hoping I could find something similar, but then I came across a CT with only one thing in it.

The CT contained a static address, it was a double, and it ALWAYS had the value of .009 (I played around a lot to check to see if it changed at all).

When you change .009 to a higher number, it becomes a damage hack.

How does one go about finding addresses like those?

probably first by finding something that is affected by that value (e.g damage done) then disassemble the code that accesses that and if you're lucky you'll find it accessed a static address and then multiplied it with it to get the final damage result
