Recently my existing Logitech G500 began to act weirdly, such as skipping movements and demonstrating slight input lag. I tested it on multiple machines, same result even with the SetPoint driver installed.
I'm looking forward to buy a replacement, choosing between SteelSeries Xai and Razer Mamba. Logitech's G9x is out of the question since I tried it and it doesn't fit my style. Which one do you guys recommend? Or should I buy another G500 instead? 7+ buttons are a must, $150 budget.

The Naga is simply ridiculous, as 12 buttons on your thumb would simply cause confusion. Note that I don't play RPG as well, only FPS.
7 buttons: left/right/middle click + forward/backward + some extras.

Mamba has 5+2 DPI buttons, Xai has 7+1 DPI button.
Does anybody here own a Xai, in which they can describe their experience? Given that The Xai is cheaper and functions just about the same as the Mamba except for the wireless ability, which I won't really need anyway.

It has aside from the obvious right/left/scroll click, it has 5 other buttons.

Looks all gimmicky to me, though the button for lowering the DPI does sound useful. I'm waiting for reviews to compare it to the Xai and Mamba.
I'm used to using wired mice anyway, since they demonstrate less lag (yes the Mamba has good performance in wireless, but battery life suffers). I've tried the MX518, and it just doesn't feel right in speed and pixel accuracy compared to other high DPI laser mice, even having adjusted in Windows.
I guess it's the Xai or R.A.T. 7 for now.

You know what, I'm just going to get a whole fucking glove, and every single direction I move any joint (and how much I move it) in my entire hand is going to be a hotkey.

DPI is basically a marketing gimmick at this point, it serves no other purpose other than a sensitivity multiplier / divider. Accuracy problem is your own problem, not the mouse.

I never buy expensive mouses /(mice?), I just get the cheap 8 pound plug and play ones, and they last about a 8 months before they start acting weird.
