Edward Elric is short, and he doesn't drink milk. Coincidence? I think not.

calcium only strengthen your bones, height is based on genetics.
the protein in milk will only get you big and strong if you lift weights. eating protein solo will do nothing for your size. maybe you might get fat due to the excess calories.

Milk is full of female hormones and it makes boys stay boys for much longer than they otherwise would.
I quit drinking milk when I was 13, I had a full black beard less than a year later, and my voice changed between 14 and 15.
I had filled out by the time I was 17.
I know men who are 22 years old who cannot grow a beard.
Milk is bad for you if you are a young male.
Period.

I'm pretty sure that as a growing CHILD eating well in general helps you grow but beyond childhood probably not

ok, enough chatting xD
milk contains some stuff like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulin-like_growth_factor_1 that DO help you grow. This has been discovered because too much milk (thus too much of that grow factor) stimulates cancer development.
also, about the bone thing... it's bullshit. there for you to be encouraged to buy it. thank capitalism

Bull. That's all just hormones. I drink 2L of milk a day and I sounded like a 20+ year old when I was 13.

This is pertaining to any kind of milk (fat free, soy, 1%, etc.). Does milk help you grow? I mean anything inside of milk including the calcium.
And if so, can anyone provide me with a scientific study/experiment or proof that milk helps you grow?
Thanks |
Yes, you should breast-feed until you are 18 months old.
After that, it is optional - and marketing people will tell you just about anything to buy milk. Not that the milk you buy in the stores nowadays have anything to do with milk...
