I open TF2, it looks okay, I join a game, on 'info' screen..

It crashes. As in, it freezes, my entire PC freezes and the screen goes black/gray. I have to restart to fix it, and it's REALLY pissing me off. I have the latest ATI display drivers etc/.

go to steam>library>TF2>right click properties> Local Files>Verify integrity of game cache.

Try taking out your video card and seeing if you get the same problem with your integrated. Then at least you'll know if it's a problem with your video card or something else.

It's my video card. I keep getting random driver crashes too. Like just now looking at a thread, the screen went black, then it came back and said some shit about the ATI driver crashing etc/.

I'm one of the lucky few who's had no problems with ATI drivers, but I suppose you could look through AMD Support. If you can'tfind a solution there, you can always email them.
