It's pissing me off something fierce.
I cant delete files off my external drive because I dont have permission from the administrator.
So I took ownership of the files and then when I tried to delete I dont have permission from the account I'm currently logged onto!
Now I tried to reformat my MicroSD card because it wasnt letting me delete/copy some files to it.
The reformat proceeded to fuck up and now I cant do anything to it.
AND NOW its telling me that I dont even have permission to try and reformat it again.
I'm running windows 7 home premium LEGIT 32 bit. _________________

I had the same problem
Make sure your the ADMINSTRATOR
Right click on whatever you want to add permissions for
Click properties > Security > Edit
Make sure for whatever account you are using tick the "Full control > ALLOW"
Than go back to Security and click advanced
Click Change permissions
Click on the user that you are on
and tick the box that says "Replace all inheritable objects"
Click ok, apply
Restart Computer and it should work now _________________

I am administrator.
This helped for files on External HDD, but I still can't format or even use my MicroSD.
Edit: I think I managed to successfully reformat the SD card using "SDFormatter V2.0" although I still cannot copy files I want onto it.

Sounds more like the stupid thing thinks its in use. Get unlocker and see if you can unlock its handles. |

Did you try doing the same for the SD Card?
Even I was adminstrator and I had to follow those steps
It looks to be more of a device error
Try formatting it to different types such as Fat32, etc but use windows formatter (right click > Format)
Try using a different SD card or MicroSD _________________
