With no lag and no problem. That is all I ask. At the moment I have an integrated graphics card and that's what making me unable to play, since it sucks dick so much. I have 2GB RAM and a Core 2 Duo of some sort (I'll check when I get home). I basically want to be able to play TF2 with absolutely no problems, full specs. That is all I want.

Thanks.

Alot of the lag problems are network issues, you can build a pC that runs TF2 for around 600.

Alright, but I'm 100% sure that it isn't network problems, since my PC lags when on high GFX settings. It's that bad (the card). Anyway, I need to know how to find out if my motherboard has another slot for a graphics card without opening my case, because it's got some where screws that I don't know about. But yeah I just want to get myself a better graphics card and that should help me out Smile
Suggest graphics cards that won't break the bank.

I don't really know. I just want to buy a card that will do it perfectly and it doesn't need to deal with other games.

You didn't really give a range so,http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447&cm_re=5770-_-14-150-447-_-Product
Can run Crysis, I own it and ATI has great support.

Also how do you plan to get the card in if you can't open it?

Just high settings.

@Potaters: Too much. And uh, I can open it, but it's a hassle.

Although I am a Nvidia fanboy, I will clearly say that ATI is much infront of Nvidia, also I would suggest 3-4gb ram.

Connor, do not listen to a single word that anybody else in this thread is saying. Potaters is an idiot, and a 5770 is WAYYYY more than you need for TF2. TF2 is a relatively easy game to display, you don't need that good of a card.

Since you have a C2D, your computer likely isn't that old, and I'm going to assume that you have at least one PCI-E slot on your motherboard. I'm going to recommend an ATI Radeon HD 5450. Since I know you live in Britain, I'm not going to give you a newegg link. If you know of any British online computer stores, give me a link to one and I'll find a good one on the website for you. Additionally, if you know of any actual stores, just go and ask someone for an ATI 5450. It should be about 50 GBP, possibly a little more.

TF2 is more CPU bound than GPU

My framerate will literally flat out double when I turn on the threading option.

EDIT:
Yeah that integrated chip isn't going to give you very good performance. It's only slightly better than the card in my old computer, which could just barely run at minimum settings.

And you're welcome.
