You can send in an xbox for free without a warranty to Microsoft. Should've read up on it before you opened your system.
They don't accept open systems, ever. If you opened it, deals done, you're fucked.

There's a shop here in downtown that'll fix your xbox if you get RRoD for about 50 - 60 bucks. My friend did that and his xbox works now.

Actually if you READ the warranty they only repair RROD xboxs that are less then 3 years old. And I will enjoy my warranty-free xbox mo' fucka.
