Well basically; what I want is when I do something on the other monitor like run games on full screen, I want the other monitor to be untouched meaning no resolution changes and stuff.
I also want to be able to use it without getting my game minimized.
Know, if this is possible?

I've been planning this for month, i already have 2 comps. Still need money for display, i was thinking 26" or bigger. |
Well, that would mean 2 laptops for me as I want this to be portable. Currently using One laptop and A Cintiq screen.
So far, I've only found linux to be the solution for my problem, but that would require:
2 mice
2 keyboards
2 monitors on one pc / laptop + external monitor
and ofcourse LINUX
I would want to do it in windows too.

try a KVM
I don't know how you can't hook up dual monitors on that one display they give you but i think a splitter might work.

-_____- my dual monitor is working fine. I just want to isolate the activities in the left side from the right side. Like when I click on the other monitor, my game won't minimize. =/

I have a keyboard shortcut to disable the extended desktop and a desktop shortcut that ends all the programs I have running in my secondary monitor so I can jump into games quickly, but I do wish I could just not even bother with it.

the other window being full screen and it minimizing the game when you click on it is 2 separate things. the other window will be full screen and the resolution unchanged and position untransformed if the game you are running has the same resolution as the screen that it is currently on. having it not minimize on clicking on the second screen is a bit trickier. i can think of a few programming solutions but am not aware of any existing implementations. if you are a programmer, try and do some tests of locking the game window as the foreground one and then see if other windows are still able to take input.

Not sure how the heck you setup your dual monitor, but you can configure each screen independently.
This means you can have one side of the screen run one program and the other side run another and configure each screen with its own resolution.
It was available since Windows 98...

you have no idea what he's asking. his 2 screens are already currently independent but when you run a full screen game on one screen it captures all user input. if you click the other screen that game will minimize. also if the game is not the same resolution as the first screen then the second screen will have a different resolution
