Holy shit dude, that's exactly what I just said to my dad a few seconds ago. Shit's weird.
But seriously, this sucks... I come home from work and I'm hoping to relax by playing some Dragon Age Origins, only to find out that it doesn't work. So I log off, figuring it's something with their servers, I reboot the PS3 and it still doesn't work. I honestly don't understand how it can fuck up when it's offline.

No they don't let you play just in case the game is pirated. Its a security thing. And plus most people are at school or working, so this is basically a good time to do a server upddate as any.
