Can I use Windex and a paper towel? Or will that ruin it?

If its a hd lcd screen dont put harmful chemicals on it. If its an old fashion monitor, it would be fine

Just use a little water, put it on a clean cloth (don't spray anything onto an LCD) and wipe it down a little at a time. Be sure to dry it as you go.
I use my microfiber cloth, but anything that isn't incredibly abrasive will work.

What happens if you use 99 percent alcohol because when i use 99 percent it was pretty clean but i wonder if it damages the screen...
It it doesn't then i would recommend this : O

Isopropyl Alcohol (it's not 99%, you can't buy that in stores) can be used, though I'd probably recommend that it be diluted with water to at least 1:1. I just said to use water because it's a simpler answer, harder to mess things up, I guess.

I bought an LCD Cleaner. It was like $5.
Contains a brush to remove thick shit off your screen.
Then a special spray. And then a Micro Fibre Cloth.
I heard if your going to do it your self, you mix water with a dot of alcahol or something.
Edit: I just remembered when I got this 22" monitor. My little cousin came over and I had a texta next to my PC to write on burned discs. I left him to play some disney game lol. I came back and he drew all over my monitor.
I was like WTFWTFWTFWTFWTFWTFWTF!?!?!?!?!?!?
Then his mum came and was like use Nail polish.
I used nail polish and it removed it and i was like feeeewwww.
Then I researched the internetz and discovered that the chemical in Nail polish destroys monitors so i was like WTFWTFWTFWTFWTF!?!?!?!?!?!?
Luckily mine is working perfectly.
It's an Acer X223W.
Sorry I just came back from work so I am really crazy now.

I have a Vizio LCD HDTV, could I use an eye glass cleaner with water on it?

LCD panel is more or less an LCD panel. Use a soft, clean cloth and water. Put water on the cloth (not too much at a time), never spray anything on the screen itself, and dry the panel as you go.
