Are any human interface devices showing in the device manager? if so, uninstall them all.

it's jailbroken correct? just rerun blackra1n and it might work, it happens to me sometimes.

if not install the new update it had something talking about recognizing ipods working properly (on iTunes)

Only if your windows OS is fucked up. Mine never do that. Although, my netbook has been known to make the chime like i unplugged a usb, but nothing was unplugged.
