i was watching a video on youtube when my w7 reverted to the classic theme. when i go to change it to aero it stays on classic. what just happened?

IDK what happened, but try right-clicking your computer>properties>advanced system settings>'Advanced' tab>in the performance area, click settings, then select the option 'Use visual styles on windows and buttons' and apply. That should fix it, but I'm working with vista, so just select the closest things to what I said.

Try Start > Type fix > Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects.

Don't start fiddling with settings, best just reboot and most likely it'll be back.

If not, install the latest version of your display driver, and then run the windows experience index app (mycomputer->properties)

My guess is that the video driver shit itself without windows realizing. As DB said, reboot before fiddling with things.

Did anyone have the same problem when running heaven benchmark with everything max out @ 1920x1200?
i was guessing that ATI has shit drivers (10.2)

This probably isn't relevant, but some programs aren't compatible with the w7 Aero setting. I've found that when playing BMS on my laptop the theme reverts to classic, and when I close it, it goes back to Aero.
