| I was wondering if it possible to put in the exact value of my level, 74, and search for it and possibly change it to 75 so I can bypass that level. The only problem is not knowing which of the thousand addresses with 74 is actually the level. Does anyone know how to do that?

that's hard to do since the value doesn't change that often...
you can try to level up and filter the results, and you may get addresses...
but.
sad news is if it's a multiplayer game, the value might be server-sided - meaning you can't change it to actually take real effect.
best of luck.

It's easy on some very simple singleplayer games. Everything beyong that gets more and more complicated

I am assuming it's for singleplayer since everyone knows it's impossible in multiplayer games
Anyhow, just changing the level is possible, but you probably won't get any of the benefits of leveling up.
leveling up is usually a special event when you kill something or trigger another experience gain event, the level up code is gone trough that adjusts all your statistics based on other stats.
So, best way to gain a level would be to find the current experience, and change that to a value really close to that of the experience needed to level up. Then gain a little bit of experience in the game manually, and you'll level up

The only problem I am having with trying to Level Up is in my game there is a progress bar/meter that you have to fill up before you can leave current level. I have searched Unknown Value but it is a quick paced game so I can only filter 2 or 3 times before dying and having the level reload. It still leaves me with 50,000 addresses. I am not sure if I am able to continue to filter or if I have to do a New Scan because the Level reloads. My Lives of course only drop by one instead of going back to 0 but I am not sure if the Unknown Value in the Bar/Meter are still in the same address or changes. I am not sure what the number would look like because it represents the Bar/Meter. I guess it could represent how many cannonballs have to be destroyed before you can move on or the number is something else. Do you have any idea what the number would look like? Have you used Cheat Engine in a game with a Bar/Meter? Basically this game is a Match 3 type, if that helps. Thanks for your help, always!

| No I haven't tried that but I will. Thank you. Are there any instructions on how to use it exactly? Do I just click on it and change it? I have not used it before so I will try it. I was wondering what it was for. Thanks again!

enable it, select or type in the speed you want, and click set speed
it works for a lot of games (not all though)

| I used speedhack and set it for what you suggested which was 0.25 and it found 1 address after only 3 scans. My only problem now is what do I set the value at for the progress bar? The original value was 14933456 and after the next scan it was 14879656. I tried to put it at 1000 but that was a disaster. My game froze and I had to restart my computer. I can at least say it found the address pretty quickly. I was impressed. Do you know what I should change the value to and do I need to freeze the number? Thanks for everything!

not sure, those values don't really match floating point values
You sure those where the values ?
Also, you might need to do a different kind of scan, e.g increased value instead ? (e.g if it's stored as amount left)
Anyhow, instead of just changing values to something random, try using values that make more sense. First scan the value was 14933456, then the value was 14879656 , so try making the change into something more logically fitting. E.g: 14600056
As for that crash, did you try pressing ctrl+alt+delete, and then open the taskmanager? That usually brings back the screen partially for me, enough to close the game without reboot

| When I do the First Scan am I searching 4 Bytes Unknown Value or do I need to change it to Float? I think that might be where I made my mistake. I will try Increased as well to see if that helps too. The one address that did pop up I noticed the Values were changing on it's own without me altering it. I will try what you suggested first and then try the more realistic value change that you also suggested. I wanted to let you know CE worked great on my Money and Lives count but trying to find this mysterious progress bar/meter is eluding me. I did try ctrl/alt/delete but unfortunately it froze up as well. Ah, well i will live on to play another day. Thanks again.
