Hello, I am currently having difficulty finding the static address for a multilevel value. I do alright until encountering pointer 3 and this is where I'm probably messing up, just don't know what I'm doing wrong, though i suspect its with the calculations.

I tried the calculations (edx+esi)*4 = 5a495568 (no return) asuming the offset was c. and edx+(esi*4) = 16925578 (no return) offset c.

The reason I didn't just do edx is because that address was the same one as pointer 2 and would have just looped.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I would say: don't get confused. The second and the third offset is not the same(=other value), go on with pointer searching!

I am a little confused by this, maybe I wasn't clear though. My Pointer 3 just points to pointer 2 and when I try to search for the recommended value, it just loops back. So I was wondering how do I progress to the next pointer, or is this just a fake memory value meant to trick people.

first off, the offset of pointer 3 would be 34 (4*a)+c

but for the real problem, when you do a hexadecimal scan for the value 16925560, do you get more than one result?
If so, try using find what accesses on one of the other results

Yes, I only get the one result that loops me from pointer 3 to 2; I've tried accessing all of the initial values and the subsidiaries, but once i get to a value with the eax+(edx*4)+c it just loops.

Is this where I should try a pointer scan for that address?

yes, either use pointerscan or code injection

i encountered the same thing with a game that i was playing around with... tried using pointer scan but it took forever lolz... havent tried code injection yet

if you manage to find the address, it would be great if you can share how you did it

cheers!
