Well I've had Eset NOD32 Smart Security for a while now and something has been getting on my nerves.

The problem is that when I start up my computer, My internet connection doesn't work until the splash screen has disappeared (That's when Eset starts).

It's nothing major and only takes about 5 seconds but it's quite annoying.

My guess is that it's got something to do with the firewall but I'm not sure.

Anyone have an idea on how to resolve this?

In the older versions of NOD there was an option to hide the splash screen, which magically was resolving similar issues (like lagging the hell out of the whole PC until the splash is gone), maybe search for something like this in the options.

I've already disabled the splash screen but it doesn't fix the issue.
My connection starts once the Eset icon has loaded.

Then there is nothing more i can suggest. I got rid of NOD years ago, sorry.

Kaspersky keys get blacklisted very fast.
I also dislike it because of the large amount of notifications.

Kaspersky scans more and its better. If you have a virus your nod will not delete viruses at first, it will take him time to find the file and delete it. For kasperksy its not that problem.
