Where does it say that? Also, if I get that card it will be accompanied by 8 gigs of ram and a 2.66 ghz (3.2) quad i5. Putting that into consideration, what conclusion would you make?

that 8 gigs is overkill. get 4 gigs of ddr3 1600.

Specifically, it's 8192 mb of ddr3 1333 mhz. I got a super deal for it, 4 gigs of 1600 would cost me the same. overkill is fine with me in this case.

That's way more than enough. Maxed out no problems with frame rate (assuming the rest of your system is decent). AC2 will probably be a similar story.
