Hello people,

Is there anyway that I can crack the password of a Windows 7 User Account (password length: 5-8, lowercase only, may/may not have numbers). I've just recently switched from Windows XP to Windows 7, and the CD that I've been to crack passwords on Windows XP no longer work on my current version of Windows.

Some details:

- I (can) burn .iso files to CDs, but I may need a little guidance on such a procedure.
- I can boot CDs without accessing BIOS, which makes things easier.

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/ophcrack/ophcrack-vista-livecd-2.3.1.iso
Download that .iso and burn it to a DVD. You can use software such as Nero, Imgburn etc.
Boot off the disc and it's basically as easy as that...
Ask for further help.
P.S That's a Vista version so I can't 100% garantee it will work but most likely will..

install a external hard disk.

Install windows onto that.

ACcess the files of the other harddisk.

Copy it out, then make a new account without the password.

The SAM is the same in vista/7, so just download the ophcrack live cd for vista. Worked perfectly for me.

EDIT: .iso file download completed. CD burned. Trial will start tomorrow... Thanks peps! ;D

The Vista version of OphCrack didn't work for me... *sigh* Any other solutions?
